Am Abend des Brückentags fand der Markenkern-Workshop bei Spreewelle statt. Ein Ergebnis lässt sich bloggen, wenn nicht sogar twittern: Die Marktforschung ergibt, dass trotz Interesses für lustige Photoshop-Remixe, die in Wahrheit mit Corel Draw hergestellt werden, Musik als Reason-Why immer noch von Bedeutung ist – vor allem in der Kernzielgruppe. Um diesen Umstand zu ehren wird es zum 50. Jubiläum der Spreewelle-Sampler ein Best Of geben.

Leichter gesagt als getan. Aus knapp 1.000 Songs die besten 40 herauszusuchen ist kein Kinderspiel. Dabei stolperte ich aber über Alexi Murdoch, der schon zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt, da knapp ein Drittel des Archivs durchforstet ist, bereits mit drei Vermerken auf der Shortlist ist. Der Herr mit der Gitarre hat in 2009 sogar eine neue EP verfföffentlicht, auf die ich hiermit wärmstens hinweisen möchte. Die neuen Songs laufen unter dem Titel „Time Without Consequence“ und sind gebündelt bereits käuflich zu erwerben.
